New national standards(GB) of e cigarette as announced on Apr 8 by Chinese Market supervision and Administration Bureau, and the new GB will come into force from Oct 1 2022

Interpreting new requirement on waterproof: the e cigarette device can be used normally after being tested by IPX4, IPX4 is the grade that no dust-proof required, and only splash-proof is needed(means the splash of liquid from any direction won’t affect the use )

Interpreting the test procedure:turn on the samples after being fully charged, and put the sample on the proper place in Swing tube water spraying test device–the gap better top of the samples and the spraying port should not be more than 200 mm, and the sample table don’t rotate;then adjust flowing volume: 0.07L/min per hole. Rotating speed of spray ports: about 12s every two circle, lasting 10 min.. similar the situation of e cigarette being put in heavy rain for 10 min.
Passed samples needs to meet: samples can discharge and charge normally without fire explosion,no indicator flashing, no short-circuit and no auto vaping.

E cigarette waterproof is some technology that can be easily ignored,and there are air holes to start heater,so it’s difficult to do waterproof for whole device.mean while it will cost much time , labor ,energy, and other source to do waterproof from structure.So nanometre plate the chip is a effective and cost efficient way.

- Structure waterproof: the water may permeate into electronic components through cartridge port or USB ports,which will bring the risk of short-circuit high
